Derek M. Wenzel: Derek is a native of Haywood County. He graduated from Tuscola High School as Salutatorian and from Davidson College with honors. Derek received his law degree from Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C., where he also worked at a real estate law firm before moving back to Waynesville. Derek Wenzel is past president of Haywood Rotary Club, and is a member of the Haywood School Foundation Board and the Board of Folkmoot USA.
Sarah P. Wenzel: Sarah was raised in Connecticut. She graduated from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. She received her law degree with honors from Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C. In law school, Sarah was an editor for the AU International Law Review. Sarah Wenzel is past president of the Altrusa Club of Waynesville, and is a member of the NC Association of Women Attorneys.
