Sarah P. Wenzel handles estate planning, mainly through revocable living trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, living wills, and other related documents. She also handles probate and estates, including court proceedings and accounting and other legal documents. Her clients are typically individuals and couples needing estate planning, as well as the Executor, Personal Representative, Trustee, or Guardian. She does not handle any estate disputes or litigation, and does not represent beneficiaries. She focuses on helping the named Fiduciary fulfill their responsibilities.
Sarah Wenzel grew up in Connecticut, before finding her way to Western North Carolina. She graduated cum laude from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration. Sarah then received her law degree with honors from Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, DC. In law school, she served for two years on the American University International Law Review, and as note and comment editor for one year.
Sarah Wenzel is very involved in the Haywood County community. She currently serves as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and on the Board for Habitat for Humanity.
In the past, Sarah has served the local community through Board of the Fund for Haywood County, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, on the Grants committee, and Altrusa International, Inc. of Waynesville as member, Scholarship Committee Chair in, and as President in 2007-2008. She has also volunteered for the Haywood County School Foundation and Folkmoot USA.
Sarah is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association (Fiduciary Law section and the Elder Law), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and the American Bar Association (Real Property, Trust and Estate Law section).

Sarah and her staff work as a team to ensure the best representation and communication for our clients.
Tiffany, Paralegal
Tiffany has been with our firm since January 2012, after working for other firms in town and in banking. She moved to the estates and probate department in 2015, where she continues to serve our clients in estate administration. She can also assist clients with trusts.
Ariel, Paralegal
Ariel joined the firm in early 2023. Her background as a financial representative and her degree in business, along with her customer service experience, provide her with knowledge to assist our clients with estate planning and probate accountings.
Tricia, Bookkeeper/Paralegal
Tricia's brings her experience as a bookkeeper and real estate paralegal in various local firms to our office. She worked with us from 2012-2015 and returned in the summer of 2023. She can assist clients with their bills and payment, and can also assist clients with real estate transfers, including deeds to trusts, sales of real estate in estate proceedings, and various other matters.
